Introduction
Last month I handled a project called 'Fashion week 2011'. It was held at the Kuala Lumpur International Hotel on the 18th of December 2010. The project was organised by final year students of Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah Alam. The fashion show was basically open to public and consists 3 categories which are traditional, corporate and wedding outfits. There are a lot of luxury gifts for the winners of this event. It is limited to 100 participants only. The objective is to find the most creative and innovative talents for fashion designing in Malaysia.
Method
The method used in this project is a competition in which the participants have to design their own dresses/outfit. Each participant is required compete in all categories. Each participant were also given several criteria for each category which they have to follow. Each participants is also required compete in all categories. This is enforced in the hope of some innovation and creativity to be shown by the participants in order to fulfill the criteria in their own ways. The number of participants in this project cum competition are 50 men and 50 women. The numerous amount of participants in the competition is a challenge in itself. The decision for the winners are made by a jury of professionals from the fashion design industry. This is done to ensure unbiased and professional decisions.

Results
The project ended on the 25th of December 2010. 3rd prize, which consists of RM 3000 cash prize with trophy and certificate goes to Siti Aishah Md Zain from Penang. 2nd prize goes to Muhammad Adam Haikal from Johor Bahru. The 2nd price consists of RM 7000 cash prize with trophy, certificate, and a 3D2N holiday package at Pulau Sipadan, Sabah. Last but not least, the 1st prize was won by Ahmad Khairi Jamaludin from KL. The 1st prize is RM 10000 cash prize with trophy, certificate, a holiday package 4D2N at Pulau Langkawi, Kedah and free fashion consultations from Rizalman Ibrahim himself.
Conclusion
The objective of the project which is to find the most creative and innovative talents for fashion designing in Malaysia is met with success. Each of the winners is truly unique in their own ways and they managed to overcome all the other contestants. This shows that the winners are among the best talents in the fashion designing industry. There may be a repeat event in the coming year as the event was such a great success and this also helps the fashion industry to find the elusive gems that is the talents of youth.
